Since the founding of the Lancaster Engineering Society, 78 years ago this year, we have welcomed people from all walks of life, who have an interest in all, and any, aspects of Engineering and Technology.

The LES invites visitors to join with us to listen to speakers on their specialist subjects, debate issues or current trends, and enjoy social interaction with likeminded people.

The Society has since its inception also arranged visits to impressive engineering projects ranging from Paper Manufacture to Diesel Engine Museums.

I consider it a great honour to be the current holder of the post of President, and acknowledge the hard work and commitment of the previous Presidents and Committee members.

I look forward to my time as President, safe in the knowledge that the Committee and I can take the LES forward into the future.

The LES currently meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month at Bare Social Club, Bare Lane, Morecambe.  Visitors and New members are welcome and so are those who are just curious as to what we do.  We look forward to meeting you.
